Career Technical Education

CLASSES
Individual Certificate Classes: Accounting, Mastering Payroll, QuickBooks, Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Medical Terminology, Medical Billing, Medical Coding, Administrative Medical Assistant, Electronic Health Records, Anatomy & Physiology, Business Communication, Customer Service (National Certification), Career Connections, and many more!

Program Certificates: Accounting Specialist, Administrative Assistant, Bookkeeper, CAD Designer/Drafter, Customer Service Representative, Executive Administrative Assistant, Media Arts, Medical Billing and Coding Specialist, Medical Front Office Receptionist, and Microsoft Office Suite 2016.

Individual Certificate Classes: To register for individual certificate classes call 925-335-5890, Ext. 3983.

Program Certificates:
New students must register in person at the Martinez Adult Education, Business Training Center Office to enroll in a program certificate course. New students will be required to attend an orientation meeting and take a placement test. Call 925-335-5890, Ext. 3983 to set up an appointment.


 

High School Programs

CLASSES
Our free programs are designed to help you reach your educational and professional goals. We offer academic program options for High School Diploma and High School Equivalency.


HOW TO GET STARTED
High School Diploma Program–In our fully accredited high school program, you will earn your credits to satisfy the requirements for graduation and achieve your diploma.

High School Equivalency Exam Preparation Program (GED®, HiSET®, TASC®) – In our test preparation class, you will study the subjects needed to take and pass any of the three High School Equivalency Examinations recognized by California to achieve your high school equivalency certificate.

English as a Second Language

CLASSES
Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced English Classes, Speaking & Listening Classes, ESL Computer Class and Computer Aided Language Lab, Computer Keyboarding (Typing) Classes, and U.S. Citizenship Preparation Classes

Martinez Regional Criminal Justice Training Center

INFORMATION
The Martinez Regional Criminal Justice Training Center, operated by Martinez Adult Education, is dedicated to providing high-quality training and educational programs for public safety personnel. The center offers entry-level and advanced instruction in areas that meet the needs of individuals as well as public and private agencies.

These courses are certified by the California Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST).

 

CLASSES
Protective Services PC 832 (Arrest and Control/Firearms), Module III Peace Officer Training and Module II Peace Officer Training.

Community Education

CLASSES
