This 20-week specialized training program prepares an employee to submit claims using electronic medical insurance coding and to serve as support staff in a medical front office. The program also provides training in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, data entry using Medisoft for recording and billing claims to patients, and electronic insurance billing. Emphasis is placed on medical office procedures such as scheduling, transcribing medical records, notating patient charts, and writing letters.
