Student Success Story: Mehdi Ragozar

I had a great time at Martinez Adult Education. It was really cool with a decent size campus filled with heartwarming and outgoing students. All the instructors did their best so we could reach our goals. We not only learned English, but also learned how to live a good, healthy, and successful life in the U.S. I started studying at the beginning level in January then moved through four levels by the end of the year. I remember one day guests from DVC came and shared about college. While on a tour of the DVC campus, I met Nicole Gomez who knew my ESL teacher. Together they helped me enroll in DVC and even get a job on campus in the Student Service Center. Now I am in college, have a job, and work toward my degree in Civil Engineering.

I really appreciate what the ESL teachers at MAE have done for me. In the end, I’d like to say special thanks to Gretchen Lammers who always helped me in any way that she could.
